How to Play the Add or Subtract Polynomials Game
The game will show you two polynomials that you would need to add or subtract and provide the resulting coefficients.
Here’s how to play:

1. Timed Option: Check the timer if you want to enable the 60 second timer. Click “Start Game”.
   
2. Look at the Problem: You’ll see two polynomials. Add or subtract them.
   
3. Enter Your Answer: Enter the resulting coefficients.
   
4. Check Your Work: Click the Check button (or press the Enter key). The game will tell you if you’re correct. If you are wrong, you will be shown the correct answer.
   
5. Get a New Problem: Click the Next button for a new problem.
   Your score is tracked at the top, showing how many you’ve gotten right out of the total you’ve tried.
   
6. Back to Menu Click “Back to Menu” to restart the game.
    
   

How to Add Polynomials
When adding, you simply combine the coefficients of the corresponding like terms.

How to Subtract Polynomials
Subtraction is slightly trickier because you must distribute the negative sign to every single term in the second polynomial before you combine the like terms.
Step 1: Distribute the Negative Sign
Change the subtraction operation into addition by flipping the sign of every term in the second set of parentheses.
Step 2: Group the Like Terms
Step 3: Combine the Coefficients
Step 4: Write the Final Expression
 
Always focus on the coefficients when adding or subtracting, and never change the exponents (x² remains x², x remains x).
Remember to distribute the negative sign during subtraction.
