What are cubes and cube roots
Cubes & Cube Roots

Understanding Cubes
The operation of cubing a number is represented by a superscript 3, called an exponent. For example, 53 is read as “5 cubed."
To find the cube of a number, you multiply it by itself three times.
53 = 5×5×5 = 125
Here, 125 is the cube of 5.

Understanding Cube Roots
Finding the cube root is the reverse process. It answers the question, “What number, when multiplied by itself three times, equals this number?"
The symbol for a cube root is \(\sqrt[3]{}\) which is called a radical sign with a small 3 (the index).
For example, \(\sqrt[3]{125}\) is read as “the cube root of 125."
\(\sqrt[3]{125}\) = 5
This is because 5×5×5=125.

The video gives a clear, step-by-step approach to walk through the process of perfect cubes and cube roots.
