Multiply Exponents Game
To multiply exponents, when the bases are the same, you add the exponents. For example, xa × xb = x(a+b) Scroll down the page for a more detailed explanation.
This game focuses on the rules for multiplying exponents. It will have a start screen where you can choose between problems with only positive exponents or a mix that includes negative exponents. If you make a mistake, the game will show you the correct answer.

How to Play the Multiply Exponents Game
The game will challenge you to multiply two exponents that have the same base by using the “product rule” for exponents: xa × xb = x(a+b)
Here’s how to play:

Multiply Exponents
Multiplying Exponents with the Same Base
This is the most common rule, often called the “product rule” for exponents.
Rule: am × an = a(m+n)
How it works: When you multiply exponential expressions with the same base, you are essentially multiplying the same number by itself multiple times. The total number of times you multiply is the sum of the individual exponents.
Example: 32 × 35
Write out the terms: (3 × 3) × (3 × 3 × 3 × 3 × 3)
Count the total number of ‘3’s: 3 × 3 × 3 × 3 × 3 × 3 × 3 = 37
Add the exponents: 2 + 5 = 7
Result: 37
The video gives a clear, step-by-step approach to multiply exponents with the same base.
