The area (A) of any parallelogram is determined by its base (b) and its corresponding height (h). A = b × h. The height is the perpendicular distance between the base and the opposite side. The height is NOT the length of the slanted side. Scroll down the page for a more detailed explanation.

How to Play the Area of Parallelogram Game
In this game, you need to find the area or perimeter of a parallelogram.
Here’s how to play:

Choose your challenge: Select “Find Perimeter”, “Find Area” or “Mixed Questions”
Find the Perimeter of Parallelogram: You will be given two sides of a parallelogram. Find the perimeter of the parallelogram.
Find the Area of Parallelogram: You will be given a side and the vertical height of a parallelogram. Find the area of the parallelogram.
Enter Your Answer: Enter in the answer.
Check Your Work: Click the “Check” button (or press the Enter key). The game will tell you if you’re correct. If you are wrong, you will be shown the correct answer.
Get a New Problem: Click the “Next” button for a new problem.

How to Find the Perimeter of Parallelogram
Finding the perimeter of any shape just means finding the distance around its boundary.
A parallelogram has four sides, where the opposite sides are always equal in length. If we call the length of one side a and the length of the adjacent side b, the perimeter (P) is the sum of all four sides:
P = a + b + a + b
This simplifies to the standard formula:
P = 2(a + b)
