Area of Trapezoid Game
The area of a trapezoid (also called a trapezium) is found by taking the average length of its two parallel bases and multiplying that average by the height between those bases. Scroll down the page for a more detailed explanation.

In this game, you may select “Find Area” or “Find Perimeter” or “Mixed Questions”. If you give a wrong answer, the game will provide the correct answer.

How to Play the Area of Trapezoid Game
In this game, you need to find the area or perimeter of a trapezoid.
Here’s how to play:

  1. Choose your challenge: Select “Find Perimeter”, “Find Area” or “Mixed Questions”
  2. Find the Perimeter of Trapezoid: You will be given three sides of a trapezoid. Assume that the non-parallel sides are equal. Find the perimeter of the trapezoid.
  3. Find the Area of Trapezoid: You will be given the lengths of the two parallel bases and the height between those bases. Find the area of the trapezoid.
  4. Enter Your Answer: Enter in the answer.
  5. Check Your Work: Click the “Check” button (or press the Enter key). The game will tell you if you’re correct. If you are wrong, you will be shown the correct answer.
  6. Get a New Problem: Click the “Next” button for a new problem.
Your score is tracked at the top, showing how many you’ve gotten right out of the total you’ve tried.
  7. Back to Menu Click “Menu” to restart the game.

How to Find the Perimeter of Trapezoid
The perimeter is the sum of the lengths of all four sides. The lengths do not need to be equal. In this game, the non-parallel sides of the trapezoid are assumed to be equal (also called isosceles trapezoid).

How to Find the Area of Trapezoid
The area of a trapezoid is found by taking the average length of its two parallel bases and multiplying that average by the height between those bases.
A trapezoid always has two parallel sides, which we call the bases (b1 and b2). The height (h) is the perpendicular distance between these two bases.
\( Area = \frac{1}{2}(b_1 + b_2)h \)

The video gives a clear, step-by-step approach to calculate the area and perimeter of a trapezoid.
