The best way to get good at multiplication is to do it often. The Multiplication Tables Game is an interactive and engaging web-based application designed to help users, especially those learning basic arithmetic, practice and improve their Multiplication Tables skills through mental math.
 
Once you have mastered each of the times table using the Multiplication Tables Practice Game then proceed to this game which allows you to select one or more times table to practice at the same time. The game will then randomly mix problems from your selected tables. Scroll down the page if you need some strategies on how to remember the multiplication times table.
 
The Game has an option for a 60-second timer, encouraging players to solve the multiplication problems quickly and efficiently.

How to Play the Multiplication Tables Game
The game is designed to help you practice your Multiplication Tables skills in a fun environment.
Here’s how to play:

1. Select Times Tables: Click on the number to select. You can select more than one number at a time. Click on the number again to deselect.
   
2. Timed Option: Check the timer if you want to enable the 60 second timer. Click “Start Game”.
   
3. Look at the Problem: You’ll see two numbers at the top of the purple box. Your goal is to multiply them.
   
4. Enter Your Answer: Type your answer into the box with the question mark ?.
   
5. Check Your Work: Click the yellow Check button (or press the Enter key). The game will tell you if you’re correct. If you are wrong, you will be shown the correct answer.
   
6. Get a New Problem: Click the blue Next button (or press Enter again) for a new multiplication problem.
   Your score is tracked at the top, showing how many you’ve gotten right out of the total you’ve tried.
7. Back to Menu Click “Back to Menu” to restart the game.
    
   

Strategies to remember the Multiplication Tables

1. Break it Down:
   Instead of trying to memorize everything at once, focus on one table at a time. Start with the easier ones (2s, 5s, 10s) and then move to the more challenging ones (6s, 7s, 8s). Learn each table in order and then proceed to be able to recall when the problems are given in random. The next step would be to select several tables to practice at the same time.
   
2. Using Addition and Subtraction:
   You can find the answer to a tough problem by using a fact you already know and then adding or subtracting.
   Example (Addition): To solve 6×6, you can use the easier fact of 6×5=30. Since 6×6 is just one more group of 6, you simply add 6 to the answer: 30+6=36.
   Example (Subtraction): To solve 9×7, you can use the fact of 10×7=70. Since 9×7 is one less group of 7, you just subtract 7 from the answer: 70−7=63.
   
3. Commutative Property:
   Remember that the order of the numbers doesn’t change the answer. This means 2×8 is the same as 8×2. Once you know one fact, you know two!
   
4. Memorizing Facts
   The final step is to practice these strategies until you can recall the answers instantly. This is called achieving fluency. You can use flashcards, worksheets, or the multiplication game to memorize the answers. Once you have them memorized, you won’t even have to think about the strategies; the answers will just come to you!
