Add 2 Worksheet/Game
Welcome to Add 2 game. Now that you’ve mastered adding one, it’s time to level up. This game is designed to help you “see” numbers in jumps, which is a secret shortcut for mental math. Instead of counting one by one, you’ll learn to skip directly to the result. Scroll down the page for a more detailed explanation.

How to Play

  1. The “Double Jump” Rule
When you see a problem like 14 + 2 or 2 + 9, don’t count “1, 2, 3…” in your head. Instead, imagine a number line and take one giant leap over the next number to the one right after it.
    Think: “14… (skip 15)… 16!"
    Think: “9… (skip 10)… 11!"

  2. Watch the Format
The game will mix things up to keep you on your toes.
    Standard: 14 + 2
Flip: 2 + 9 (Always look for the bigger number first, then jump two spots ahead!)

  3. Pick Your Answer
Four buttons will appear at the bottom.
Correct: You’ll hear a high-pitched “ping” and the button turns green.
Incorrect: You’ll hear a “bonk” and the button turns red. The game will show you the right answer so you can learn the jump for next time.

  4. Track Your Progress
Keep an eye on the Accuracy bubble in the top right.
The first number is your “Win Streak” (correct answers).
The second number is how many total challenges you’ve faced.

Tip: Even and Odd
Did you know adding 2 has a secret pattern? If you start with an Even number (2, 4, 6, 8, 10…), you will always land on an Even number.
If you start with an Odd number (1, 3, 5, 7, 9…), you will always land on an Odd number.

Once you’ve answered a question, hit the NEXT CHALLENGE ➔ button to keep the momentum going. Can you reach a perfect 20/20?
