How to Play the Volume of Rectangular Prism Game
In the game, you need to find the volume of a rectangular prism or find a missing side when given the volume.
Here’s how to play:
- Choose your challenge: Select “Find Volume” or “Find Missing Side” or “Mixed Questions”.
- Find Volume: Calculate volume given length, width, and height.
- Find Missing Side: Calculate a missing side (length, width, or height) given the volume and the other two sides.
- Enter Your Answer: Enter in the answer.
- Check Your Work: Click the “Check” button (or press the Enter key). The game will tell you if you’re correct. If you are wrong, you will be shown the correct answer.
- Get a New Problem: Click the “Next” button for a new problem.
Your score is tracked at the top, showing how many you’ve gotten right out of the total you’ve tried. - Back to Menu Click “Menu” to restart the game.
Find the Volume
Use the formula
V = L × W × H
Where:
V is the Volume (the total space inside the prism).
L is the Length.
W is the Width.
H is the Height.
Find Missing Side
To find a missing side, you divide the volume (V) by the product of the other two sides.
Length (L) = \(\frac{V}{W \times H}\)
Width (W) = \(\frac{V}{L \times H}\)
Height (H) = \(\frac{V}{L \times W}\)
