A cube is a three-dimensional shape where the sides are the same length.
The volume (V) of a cube is calculated by multiplying its three dimensions: length, width, and height.
Here is the formula: V = s × s × s = s3. Scroll down the page for a more detailed explanation.

How to Play the Volume of Cube Game
In the game, you need to find the volume of a cube or find a missing side when given the volume.
Here’s how to play:
- Choose your challenge: Select “Find Volume” or “Find Missing Side” or “Mixed Questions”.
- Find Volume: Calculate volume given the side.
- Find Missing Side: Calculate a missing side given the volume.
- Enter Your Answer: Enter in the answer.
- Check Your Work: Click the “Check” button (or press the Enter key). The game will tell you if you’re correct. If you are wrong, you will be shown the correct answer.
- Get a New Problem: Click the “Next” button for a new problem.
Your score is tracked at the top, showing how many you’ve gotten right out of the total you’ve tried. - Back to Menu Click “Menu” to restart the game.

To reverse the process and find the side length from the volume, you need to use the inverse operation of cubing a number, which is finding the cube root \((\sqrt[3])\).
Formula:
Side (s) = Cube Root of Volume
\(s = \sqrt[3]{V}\)
