Units of Time Worksheet/Game
Welcome to the Units of Time Challenge! This game is designed to help you master the relationships between seconds, minutes, hours, days, and years. This colorful web-based tool turns learning into a game, testing your knowledge of how time is measured and calculated. Whether you’re figuring out how many days are in a leap year or converting weeks into days, this game provides instant feedback. Scroll down the page for a more detailed explanation.


 


 

How to Play

  1. Read the Question: Look at the large white card in the center of the screen. It will ask you a specific conversion question, such as “How many hours are in 1 day?"

  2. Enter Your Answer: Click on the box with the “?” placeholder and type in the number you think is correct using your keyboard.

  3. Check Your Work: Click the big yellow “Check My Answer!” button (or press Enter).
    If you are correct: You’ll hear a cheerful chime and see a “Time Hero” message.
    If you are incorrect: You’ll hear a low tone, and the game will kindly show you the correct answer so you can learn for next time.

  4. Advance to the Next Level: Once you’ve checked an answer, click the “Next Question ➔” link that appears at the bottom to move to the next task.

  5. Track Your Progress: Keep an eye on the top of the screen (e.g., “Question 1 of 11”) to see how close you are to finishing the full set of challenges.
