How to Play the Surface Area of Sphere Game
In the game, you need to find the surface area of a sphere or find the radius when given the surface area.
Here’s how to play:
- Choose your challenge: Select “Find Surface Area”, “Find Radius”, or “Mixed Questions”.
- Find Surface Area: Calculate surface area given the radius.
- Find Radius: Calculate radius given the surface area.
- Enter Your Answer: Enter in the answer.
- Check Your Work: Click the “Check” button (or press the Enter key). The game will tell you if you’re correct. If you are wrong, you will be shown the correct answer.
- Get a New Problem: Click the “Next” button for a new problem.

The Surface Area Formula
The surface area (SA) of a sphere is the total area of its outer shell.
The formula is:
SA = 4πr2
Where:
SA is the Total Surface Area.
π (pi) is the constant approximately equal to 3.14.
r is the radius of the sphere (the distance from the center to the surface).

To solve for the radius (r), we need to isolate it on one side of the equation.
