Surface Area of Cone Game
The Total Surface Area (SA) of a cone requires combining two distinct area calculations: the area of its circular base and the area of its curved side (the lateral area).
SA = πr2 + πrl

How to Play the Surface Area of Cone Game
In the game, you need to find the surface area of a cone, find lateral area, or find a missing side when given the surface area.
Here’s how to play:
The Total Surface Area Formula
The total surface area (SA) is the sum of these two components:
SA = Area of Base + Lateral Area
1. Area of the Base (B)
Since the base is a circle:
Area of Base = πr2
2. Lateral Area (LA)
This is the area of the curved part of the cone. It uses the radius (r) and the slant height (l).
Lateral Area = πrl
The Complete Formula
Adding the two components gives the total surface area:
SA = πr2 + πrl
Where:
SA is the Total Surface Area.
r is the radius of the base.
l is the slant height (the distance along the edge of the cone).
The video gives a clear, step-by-step approach to find the surface area of a cone.
