Welcome to the Subtract 9 Challenge! While subtracting 9 often looks intimidating, it is actually the ultimate “shortcut” number. Because 9 is just one tiny step away from 10, mastering this skill allows you to perform complex mental arithmetic with lightning speed. How to Play

1. Identify the Problem
   The main equation is centered in the dark slate display (e.g., 17 - 9). The game will generate random challenges starting from 9 up to 20.
   

2. Use the “Nine” Strategy
   Don’t count backward by ones. Use the Minus 10, Plus 1 hack. Since 9 is 10 - 1, taking away 9 is the same as taking away 10 and then giving 1 back to fix the difference.
   The Logic: Subtract 10, then add 1.
   Example: 15 - 9 …
   15 - 10 = 5
   5 + 1 = 6
   

3. Tap Your Choice
   Select the correct answer from the four gold-bordered buttons.
   Correct: The button glows Amber, a triumphant chime plays, and your accuracy streak increases.
   Oops: The button turns Gray, and you’ll receive a strategy hint to help you visualize the “-10, +1” logic for the next round.
   

4. Monitor Your Accuracy
   Your success rate is displayed in the top-right corner. Challenge yourself to hit a 100% Accuracy rating over 20 questions.
   

5. Keep the Pace
   As soon as you finish a problem, tap NEXT CHALLENGE ➔ to keep your brain in the “zone."
