Square Corners Worksheet/Game
Welcome to the Square Corners Challenge! This game is designed to help you become an expert at spotting right angles (also called square corners). In geometry, a square corner is formed when two lines meet at 90 degrees like the corner of a square, a piece of paper, or the letter L. Scroll down the page for a more detailed explanation.

How to Play

  1. Read the Mission
At the top of the screen, you will see a target. The game will ask you to find a shape with exactly 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4 square corners. Pay close attention to whether it’s asking for a single “corner” or multiple “corners”.

  2. Hunt for the “L”
Look at the four shapes in the grid. To find a square corner, try to imagine a small square fitting perfectly into the space where two sides meet.
1 Corner: Look for a “Right Triangle."
4 Corners: Look for a perfect Square or Rectangle.
0 Corners: Look for shapes with “slanted” sides, like an equilateral triangle.

  3. Make Your Choice
Click on the shape that you think matches the target number.
The Success Chime: If you are correct, the shape will glow Emerald Green, and you’ll hear a high-pitched “sparkle” sound.
The Shake: If you’re incorrect, the shape will shake and turn Red. Don’t worry! Just recount the “L” shapes and try again.

  4. Move to the Next Level
Once you find the right shape, the NEXT LEVEL button will appear. Click it to get a new target and a fresh set of shapes to inspect.
