Sorting Worksheet/Game
Welcome to Sorting Worksheet/Game. This game is designed to test your ability to categorize data based on specific rules: Color, Shape, and Size. Scroll down the page for a more detailed explanation.

How to play the Sorting Game

  1. Read the Directive
At the top of the interface, you will see the Current Sorting Directive. This is your mission for the round.
The Rule: The game will ask you to filter by one of three attributes:
Color: (e.g., “Identify all RED objects”)
Shape: (e.g., “Identify all 3-SIDED objects”)
Size: (e.g., “Identify all LARGE objects”)
Need help? Click the Speaker Icon next to the rule to have the directive aloud to you.

  2. Select Your Targets
Below the directive, a grid of shapes will appear.
Analyze: Look for every item that matches the current rule.
Select: Click or tap a shape to select it. A cyan border and a top-right indicator will light up to show it is marked for filtering.
Deselect: If you make a mistake, click the shape again to remove the marker.

  3. Execute the Filter
Once you are confident that you have selected all matching items (and only the matching items), click the big Execute Filter button at the bottom.

  4. Results & Clearance Level
Success: If your classification is perfect, the background will flash green, your Clearance Level (Streak) will increase, and a new round will begin immediately.
Error: If you miss an item or select an incorrect one, the background will flash red, the card will shake, and your streak will reset to zero.

Tips
Watch the Sides: Don’t let the “Round” objects fool you; they have 0 sides.
Compare Sizes: Some “Small” objects might look large if they are the only ones on screen—compare them to the other shapes in the grid to be sure.
Speed vs. Accuracy: The game doesn’t have a timer, so take a second to double-check your work before hitting “Execute."
