To convert a percent to a decimal, move the decimal point two places to the left (or divide the number by 100). To convert a decimal to a percent, move the decimal point two places to the right (or multiply the number by 100). Scroll down the page for a more detailed explanation.

How to Play the Percents and Decimals Game
The game will challenge you to convert percentages and decimals.
Here’s how to play:

  1. Timed Option: Check the timer if you want to enable the 60 second timer. Click “Start Game”.
  2. Look at the Problem: You’ll be given a percentage or a decimal. Convert between the percentage and a decimal.
  3. Enter Your Answer: Enter in the result.
  4. Check Your Work: Click the Check button (or press the Enter key). The game will tell you if you’re correct. If you are wrong, you will be shown the correct answer.
  5. Get a New Problem: Click the Next button for a new problem.
    Your score is tracked at the top, showing how many you’ve gotten right out of the total you’ve tried.
  6. Back to Menu Click “Back to Menu” to restart the game.
     

Percent to decimal

  1. Identify the number: Take the number from the percentage, for example, 135%.
  2. Move the decimal: Mentally move the decimal point in the number two places to the left. The decimal point is usually to the right of the last digit, so in 135, it’s at the end.
  3. → 1.35
  4. Remove the percent sign: The result is the decimal form, which is 1.35.
     

Decimal to percent

  1. Identify the number: Take the decimal, for example, 1.15.
  2. Move the decimal: Mentally move the decimal point two places to the right.
    1.15 → 115
  3. Add the percent sign: Add a percent sign % to the end to get the percentage. The result is 115%.
