How to play the Order of Ops (Add/Sub) Game - Integers
The Core Rule: Left-to-Right
When you have a string of addition and subtraction, they have equal priority. To solve them correctly, you must tackle the operation on the far left first.
How to Play
Look at the “Active Step”: This is your current math string (e.g., 10 - 15 + 4).
Solve the first operation only: In the example 10 - 15 + 4, the first operation is 10 - 15.
10 - 15 = -5.
Type the new line: You must type the result of that first operation plus the rest of the equation that hasn’t been solved yet.
You would type: -5 + 4
Validate: Click “Validate Step” or hit Enter. If correct, that line moves to your history, and you solve the next part (-5 + 4 = -1).
Because this game allows negative numbers, you need to visualize the number line.
Crossing Zero: If you have 5 - 12, you move 5 steps to reach zero, and another 7 steps to land at -7.
Double Negatives: If you are at -5 and you subtract 3 (-5 - 3), you move further left to -8.
Climbing Out: If you are at -10 and add 4 (-10 + 4), you move right toward zero, landing at -6.
Streaks and Rewards
🔥 Streak: This counts how many full problems you have solved perfectly without making a single mistake.
🏆 Best: This tracks your highest-ever streak.Mistakes: If you type the wrong number or try to solve the right-side operation before the left-side one, your current streak resets to 0.
