Welcome to the Multi-Step Word Problem with Remainder Challenge! This is an interactive game to solve multi-step word problems that involves division and remainders. Each question requires you to complete two steps to find the final answer. Pay close attention to what each problem is asking, because it can be the quotient or the remainder. How to Play
Step 1: Read the Quest Carefully
Every round presents a brand-new story problem. Read it all the way through to figure out your plan of attack. You will always need to do two steps to solve it:
The First Step: You will need to add, subtract, or multiply first to find the true total number of items.
The Second Step: Divide that total by the final number to see how things are grouped.

Step 2: Spot the Target
Before you click an answer, look closely at the final question! The game will ask you for one of two things:
The Quotient: How many full groups, boxes, or buses can be made?
The Remainder: How many leftover items are left over or remaining?
Watch out. The multiple-choice grid includes common trap answers, like showing you the remainder when the question actually asked for the full boxes.

Step 3: Choose and Learn
Click on your chosen answer from the grid.
Get it right? You’ll hear a success chime, score a point, and see a quick breakdown of your perfect math.
Missed a step? Don’t worry. The game will safely pause, highlight the correct answer, and give you a step-by-step mathematical map showing exactly how to solve it next time.

Step 4: Complete the Journey
Work your way through 10 unique quests. Once you finish the final round, the game will tally up your points and award you your official title, from Pattern Explorer all the way up to Crowned Remainder Legend! Tap “Start New Quest” to reset the board and try for a perfect score.
