How to Play the Game

1. Examine the Dataset: Review the unsorted numbers in the dataset box. Check whether the total count of values (n) is odd or even.
   
2. Order the Numbers: On scratch paper, rewrite the dataset from least to greatest.
   
3. Determine Q₁ and Q₃:
   Odd Datasets (n=7): Identify the middle value (Median) and set it aside. Find the middle of the lower 3 numbers (Q₁) and the middle of the upper 3 numbers (Q₃).
   Even Datasets (n=8): Divide the numbers into lower and upper halves of 4. Find the average of the middle two values in the lower half (Q₁) and upper half (Q₃).
   
4. Calculate IQR: Subtract Q₁ from Q₃ (IQR = Q₃ - Q₁).
   
5. Check Your Answer: Type your value into the box and press Submit (or hit Enter). View your updated Correct / Attempted score and read the mathematical solution panel to confirm your steps.
