Welcome to the Interpret Bar Graph Challenge! This educational web game is designed to build data literacy by challenging players to interpret bar graphs. In this game, players step into the boots of a Cargo Logistics Officer stationed at a deep space supply hub. The mission is to analyze structural bar graphs to track raw resources—like Plasma Fuel, Titanium, and Dark Matter—across five separate loading bays. By translating visual column heights into precise numerical balances, finding critical deficits, and calculating system totals, students build core data literacy and coordinate graphing skills in a dynamic, high-stakes sci-fi environment. How to Play

1. Read the Graph Matrix
   At the start of each cycle, the cargo matrix changes. Look at the grid on the left side of your console window:
   The Categories (X-Axis): The horizontal baseline labels show your five loading docks: Bay Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, and Epsilon (labeled 1 to 5 from left to right).
   The Scale (Y-Axis): The vertical lines mark material weight increments from 0 to 50 Tons. The height of each emerald bar aligns perfectly with these markers.
   

2. Analyze the Manifest Query
   Check the terminal panel on the right side of the screen. The system will issue one of four random analytical problems:
   Direct Extract: Identify the exact quantity sitting in a single designated bay.
   Comparative Difference: Calculate the absolute arithmetic space or “gap” between two different docks.
   System Summation: Total up the combined weights across all five bays simultaneously.
   Extremes Isolation: Locate the exact position tracking the highest surplus or lowest concentration of cargo.
   

3. Log Your Data Entry
   Type your numerical answer into the text box labeled “Data Entry” and click the “Verify Manifest” button (or press the Enter key on your keyboard) to submit.
   

4. Review the Diagnostics Trace
   The system will instantly evaluate your entry and lock your progress:
   If Cleared: A high chime sounds, your score raises, and your active streak counter goes up.
   If a Variance Appears: A low warning buzz sounds, your streak resets, and the system highlights the target columns in amber. A detailed breakdown appears, showing you the exact values you needed to calculate to clear the log.
