How to Play “Initial Blends Blast!”
The game is a fast-paced, audio-supported literacy tool designed to build phonemic awareness (the ability to identify specific sounds in words). Here is a breakdown of how a user plays a round:

1. Listen to the Secret Word:
   Step 1.
   At the start of each round, the game automatically reads a mystery word aloud. If you missed it or need to hear it again, click the large blue speaker button.
   

2. Examine the Word Fragment:
   Step 2.
   Look closely at the word display area. You will see a blank space (__) followed by the ending of the word (for example: __oom or __ock).
   

3. Pick the Missing Blend:
   Step 3.
   Six dynamic option buttons will appear on your screen (featuring consonant blends like bl, fr, st, or tr). Click the choice you believe accurately matches the start of the word you heard.
   

4. Review Your Score & Repeat:
   Step 4.
   The game will immediately highlight the button green for a correct answer or red for an incorrect one. Watch your Score scale up and build a high-scoring Streak before clicking Next Word to tackle the next puzzle!
