How to Play the Game

  1. Select a Mission Module: Choose your focus area from the main menu:
    Module 01: Bin Frequency Scan – Read exact frequencies for single continuous numerical intervals directly from bar height levels.
    Module 02: Range & Cumulative Totals – Sum frequencies across multiple adjacent intervals or calculate the total dataset population size (N).
    Module 03: Modal & Median Intervals – Identify the peak modal class and calculate which continuous bin contains the middle (median) data value.
  2. Examine the Distribution Chart: Analyze the continuous histogram. Observe the vertical frequency scale (Y-axis) and the continuous interval boundaries (X-axis). Note that adjacent bars touch seamlessly without gaps, representing continuous numerical data.
  3. Evaluate the Target Protocol: Read the question prompt carefully to determine what statistic is requested (e.g., frequency of interval [20, 30), total values ≥ 40, total population N, modal class, or median bin).
  4. Choose Your Answer: Click one of the four multiple-choice options on the right side of the screen.
  5. Review Instant Feedback: Sound effects and visual highlights confirm your answer, while step-by-step explanatory text breaks down the cumulative frequency math.
