Objective:
We can use our knowledge of multiplication facts of 2 to help us with division problems.
For example, consider the division problem 6 ÷ 2.
To solve this problem using multiplication, we can ask the question: “What number times 2 equals 6?"
The answer is 3, because 3 × 2 = 6.
Therefore, 6 ÷ 2 = 3.
