Divide by 10 or 100
Divisibility by 10
For a whole number to be divisible by 10 with no remainder, its last digit must be a 0.
How to check:
Look at the last digit of the number. If it is a 0, the number is divisible by 10.
Example 1:
350 ÷ 10 = 35. (Remove the last 0 digit.)
Example 2:
8,400 ÷ 10 = 840. (Remove the last 0 digit.)
Example 3:
153 ÷ 10 = 15.3. The last digit is 3, not 0, so the result is not a whole number. Decimal Division by Powers of 10

Divisibility by 100

Example 2:
83,000 ÷ 100 = 830. (Remove the last two digits 00.)
Example 3:
1,532 ÷ 100 = 15.32. The last two digits are not 00, so the result is not a whole number. Decimal Division by Powers of 10
