How to play

1. Read the three sentence options
   Examine three variations of a line of dialogue with a speaker tag.
   Pay close attention to where the quotation marks, commas, periods, question marks, and capital letters are placed.
   

2. Spot the correct dialogue punctuation
   Apply key dialogue rules to identify the single correct sentence:
   • Quotation marks enclose ONLY the exact spoken words.
   • Commas, periods, question marks, and exclamation marks stay INSIDE closing quotes.
   • A comma separates the speaker tag from the spoken dialogue.
   • The first word of direct dialogue always starts with a capital letter.
   • Speaker tags after quotes stay lowercase (e.g., “said Maya”) unless using a proper name.
   

3. Listen for accessibility & clarity
   • Click “🔊 Listen” to hear the options read aloud via Text-to-Speech.
   

4. Read the detective feedback
