How to Play D Sound Game
Sound Detective is an auditory discrimination game designed to help young learners identify where a target sound (in this case, the /d/ sound) lives inside a word.
Each round features a curated deck of 10 random words complete with text-to-speech audio and kid-friendly emojis.

Gameplay Steps
Step 1: Tap and Listen
Click the purple “📢 Tap to Listen” button. The game will clearly read the target word aloud (for example, “duck” or “bed”).

Step 2: Find the Sound
Say the word out loud and think about where you feel the tongue-tapping /d/ sound:
Do you hear it at the START (beginning) of the word?
Do you hear it at the END (tail) of the word?

Step 3: Solve the Mystery!
Click the green START button if you hear it at the beginning.
Click the yellow END button if you hear it at the end.

Step 4: Check & Learn
An instant feedback box will pop up, revealing the correct spelling and a helpful phonic hint explaining why that sound goes there. Click Next Word ➡️ to move on!

Step 5: Earn Your Stars
