Counting On Worksheet/Game
Welcome to Counting On Worksheet/Game. This game is an interactive math game designed to help students master the “Counting On” strategy. Instead of starting from 1, players must identify the next three numbers in a sequence starting from a random number. Scroll down the page for a more detailed explanation.
How to play the Counting On Worksheet/Game
Step 1: Start the Mission
Click the large “START MISSION” button to begin. You will see a rocket ship 🚀 ready for takeoff.
Step 2: Check the “Start Number”
Look at the blue circle on the left. This is your starting point. The game will say, for example, “Start at 7. What are the next three numbers?"
Step 3: Fill the Fuel Slots
There are three empty circles (fuel slots) waiting to be filled.
Look at the 4-choice grid at the bottom of the screen.
Find the number that comes exactly after your starting number and tap it.
If you are correct, the slot will light up blue and the game will ask for the next number in the sequence.
Step 4: Blast Off!
Once you correctly fill all three slots, the rocket ship will launch into space! After a few seconds, a new mission will automatically start with a different number.

| Error Handling | If you pick the wrong number, the game will gently tell you which number to count from next so you can try again. |
Tips for Success
Count Out Loud: It helps to say the numbers as you see them: “Seven… eight, nine, ten!"
