Coordinate Point Worksheet/Game
Welcome to the Coordinate Point Challenge! This is an interactive game to help you master the Cartesian coordinate system. The game challenges you to locate target stars hidden across deep space. By giving the precise coordinates, you can sharpen your grid-navigation skills while moving from the first quadrant to all the four quadrants. How to Play
Step 1: Choose Your Difficulty Mode
At the top of the interface, select your navigation range using the toggle switch:
1st Quadrant Only (0 to 10): Perfect for beginners. This mode restricts the target star to positive integers only, ranging from 0 to 10 on both axes.
All 4 Quadrants (-5 to 5): Ready for a challenge? This mode expands the map to include negative and positive coordinates, plotting targets across all four quadrants.

Step 2: Locate the Target Star
Look at the central radar screen (the grid). An orange, pulsing star will appear somewhere on the coordinates plane.

Step 3: Enter the Coordinates
Find the exact position of the star by reading its values along the axes:
X-Input (Indigo): Look horizontally along the flat line to determine the left/right position.
Y-Input (Emerald): Look vertically along the upright line to determine the up/down position.
Type these integers into the corresponding ( X , Y ) input boxes at the bottom.

Step 4: Scan and Review
Click the Scan Coordinates button. The system will play a sound and draw helpful tracking lines to reveal the star’s exact alignment:
If your trajectory matches perfectly, you lock in a point.
If your scanner misaligns, the system will safely display the exact coordinates so you can learn from the flight deviation.

Step 5: Advance and Complete the Mission
Click Next Question to move through the 10 scheduled rounds. At the end of the final round, click View Mission Analysis to see your final score evaluation and discover your official space navigation rank! You can reinitialize the star map at any time to try for a perfect score.
