Click & Count Game
Welcome to Click & Count Game. The game is an interactive game designed to help children practice counting and cardinality. The goal is to select the exact number of objects requested by the computer. Scroll down the page for a more detailed explanation.

 

 

How to play the Click & Count Game

1. Start the Game: Click the large blue “Start Counting” button. This generates the first set of items.
   

2. Read the Target: Look at the top left under “Click & Count.” The instruction will say something like “Click 5”.
   

3. Find and Select: Search the screen for the floating emojis (like ⭐, 🍎, or 🚀).
   Click an item to count it.
   Listen: Each time you click, a US English voice will say the number out loud (e.g., “One… Two… Three…”).
   Watch: The item will “pop” and disappear once it has been counted.
   

4. Track Your Progress: The top right counter shows how many you have found versus how many you need (e.g., 3 / 5).
   

5. Finish the Mission: Once you reach the target number, the computer will celebrate your success. Click “PLAY AGAIN →” to start a new round with a different number and new items.
   

Educational Concepts
One-to-One Correspondence: The student learns that one click equals one number said aloud.
Cardinality: The final number spoken represents the total amount of items “collected."
Visual Tracking: Finding specific items scattered randomly across the “arena” screen.

This game is self-correcting—the student cannot click more than the target number, ensuring they always end on the correct count.
