Analog & Digital Time Worksheet/Game
Welcome to Analog & Digital Time Worksheet/Game. In this game, you need to look at the given analog clock and enter the equivalent digital time. You also need to enter AM or PM depending on whether the time is in the morning, afternoon or night. Scroll down the page for a more detailed explanation.
How to play the Analog & Digital Time Game
Identify the Scenario
At the top left of the screen, look at the Scenario Label (e.g., “🌅 Morning” or “🌙 Night”).
This is your biggest clue for the final part of the answer.
Morning scenarios require AM.
Afternoon/Night scenarios require PM.
Read the Analog Clock
Look at the hands to determine the exact time:
Black Hand (Short): This is the Hour. If it is between two numbers, always pick the smaller number (unless it’s between 12 and 1, in which case it is 12).
Indigo Hand (Long): This is the Minute. Count by 5s for each number (1=05, 2=10, 3=15, etc.).
Enter the Digital Time
Use your keyboard to fill in the boxes:
Hour Box: Type the hour (1 through 12).
Minute Box: Type the minutes (00 through 55).
AM/PM Toggle: Click the AM or PM button based on the scenario label you saw in Step 1. The button will turn indigo when selected.
Submit and Score
Click the SUBMIT ANSWER button.
If you are right: You’ll see “Correct! Great Timing,” your score will increase by 10, and the clock will reset.
If you are wrong: The game will prompt you to “Check the clock and the label!” You can keep trying until you get it right.
Expert Strategy Tip:
Watch the Hour Hand Drift
As the indigo minute hand gets closer to the top (the 12), the black hour hand will move very close to the next hour. For example, at 10:55, the hour hand will look like it is pointing at the 11.
