Math Mnemonics: Trigonometry

Measure of Angles in Right Triangles
SOH-CAH-TOA
    SOH: Sin = Opposite divided by Hypotenuse
    CAH: Cos = Adjacent divided by Hypotenuse
    TOA: Tangent = Opposite divided by Adjacent

Just remember the right righteous Chief SOH-CAH-TOA who lives in a right-triangle tepee.

SOH-CAH-TOA mnemonics:
Some Old Horses Can Always Hear Their Owner’s Approach
Silly Old Harry Carried A Horse To Our Apartment.

Or some other mnemonics:

The Old Arab Carried A Heavy Sack Of Hay
To Oil A Car Always Have Some Oil Handy
Tan = Opposite divided by Adjacent
Cos = Adjacent divided by Hypotenuse;
Sin = Opposite divided by Hypotenuse


Sign in each quadrant
Which trigonometry functions are positive in each quadrant?

* Quad I: All functions are positive.
* Quad II: Only sine is positive.
* Quad III: Only tangent is positive.
* Quad IV: Only cosine is positive.

ASTC:
    All in Quadrant I,
    Sine in Quadrant II,
    Tangent in Quadrant III,
    Cosine in Quadrant IV.
