Telling time using a number line is a great way to visually represent the passage of time for young learners. Here are the steps to tell time using a number line:

1. Draw a horizontal number line on a board or paper. Label the beginning and end of the line with the appropriate time, such as 12:00 AM (midnight) on the left and 12:00 PM (noon) on the right.
2. Divide the number line into smaller segments, each representing minutes. For example, mark 5-minute intervals or use smaller divisions if needed.
3. Mark key points on the number line to represent significant minutes within the hour. For example, label 1:00, 1:15, 1:30, 1:45, and so on.
4. Given a specific time, place a point or marker on the number line to represent that time.
