Examples, solutions, videos, and worksheets to help grade 7 and grade 8 students learn how to find the radius from the area of a circle.

How to find the radius from area of a circle?

There are two sets of radius from area of circle worksheets

• Radius from area of circles (inches, ft, yard)
• Radius from area of circles (mm, cm)

To find the radius of a circle given its area, you can rearrange the formula for the area:

A = πr2

r = √(A/π)

Where:

r is the radius of the circle.
A is the area of the circle.
π (pi) is a mathematical constant approximately equal to 3.14159…

Example:
Find the radius of a circle with a area of 113.04 units2. Use 3.14 for π.
r = √(113.04/π) = 6 units
