Examples, solutions, videos, and worksheets to help Grade 6 students learn how to convert a decimal to a percent.
To convert a decimal to a percent, you multiply the decimal value by 100 and add the percent symbol (%).
The formula is:
Percent = Decimal × 100
For example, if you have a decimal value of 0.75, you can convert it to a percent as follows:
Percent = 0.75 × 100 = 75%
So, 0.75 as a percent is 75%.
We can also use the shortcut of moving the decimal point 2 places to the right when multiplying by 100.
