Add Multiple of Tens to a 2-digit Number Worksheets

In these First Grade and Second Grade math worksheets, students practice adding whole tens (or multiple of tens) to 2-digit numbers. The 2 addends are not more than 100.

Students can use pictures (base ten blocks) to do that, or they can add the tens and keep the ones digit the same. For example, 60 + 23 becomes 6 tens + 2 tens and 3 ones, which is 8 tens and 3 ones. (60 + 23 = 83).

Key Points:

  • Adding a multiple of 10 only affects the tens place.
  • The ones place remains the same.
  • This is because multiples of 10 have a 0 in the ones place.
