Types of Angles Game
Angles are classified based on the size of their opening, which is measured in degrees (°). The most common classifications are: acute, obtuse, right, reflex and straight. Scroll down the page for a more detailed explanation.
 
In this game, you first select the challenge “Classify by Value”, “Classify by Image”, or “Mixed Challenge”. Then select the type of angle given its properties. If you give a wrong answer, the game will provide the correct answer.

How to Play the Types of Angles Game
In this game, you need to identify the type of angle given its value or image.
Here’s how to play:

  1. Choose your challenge: Select the challenge “Classify by Value”, “Classify by Image”, or “Mixed Challenge”.
  2. Classify by Value: You will be given the value of an angle in degrees. Select the correct answer for the type of angle.
  3. Classify by Image: You will be given the image of an angle. Select the correct answer for the type of angle.
  4. Enter Your Answer: Select the answer. The game will tell you if you’re correct. If you are wrong, you will be shown the correct answer.
  5. Get a New Problem: Click the “Next” button for a new problem.
    Your score is tracked at the top, showing how many you’ve gotten right out of the total you’ve tried.
  6. Back to Menu Click “Menu” to restart the game.
     

How to Classify Angles

  1. Acute Angle
    Greater than 0° and less than 90°
    These are small, “sharp” angles. Think of the tip of a pizza slice.
  2. Right Angle
    Exactly 90°
    A quarter-turn, forming a perfect “L” shape. It is usually indicated by a small square symbol at the vertex (corner).
  3. Obtuse Angle
    Greater than 90° and less than 180°
    These are large, “blunt” angles, wider than a right angle but not quite a straight line.
  4. Straight Angle
    Exactly 180°
    This forms a straight line. The vertex lies along the line.
