Count On Pennies Worksheets

Counting on using pennies from any single coin involves adding one penny at a time.
Let’s take an example starting from a quarter:

A quarter is 25 cents and so we count from 25. Add one penny at a time: Count on: 26 (25 + 1), 27 (26 + 1), 28 (27 + 1), and so on.

You can encourage students to physically move pennies or use visual aids like drawings or a number line to represent each step. The goal is to reinforce the concept of counting on, which is an essential skill in early mathematics.

This activity not only helps students practice counting on but also builds a foundation for addition and number sense.
