Triangle Sum Game
The Triangle Sum Theorem states that the sum of the measures of the interior angles of any triangle is always 180°. This rule holds true for every single triangle, regardless of its size or shape (whether it’s acute, obtuse, right, equilateral, isosceles, or scalene). This theorem allows you to find a missing angle measure if you know the other two angles. Scroll down the page for a more detailed explanation.

In this game, you will be given two angles in a triangle and you will be asked to find the measure of the third angle. You can select the option of with or without diagram. If you give a wrong answer, the game will give you the right answer.

How to Play the Triangle Sum Game
In this game, you need to find the missing angle in a triangle using the Triangle Sum Theorem.
Here’s how to play:

  1. Choose your Challenge: Choose with or without Diagram.
  2. With Diagram: The question prompt will show a triangle with a missing angle. Find the missing angle.
  3. Without Diagram: The question prompt give two angles in a triangle. You need to find the third angle.
  4. Enter Your Answer: Type your answer for the angle.
  5. Check Your Work: Click the Check button (or press the Enter key). The game will tell you if you’re correct. If you are wrong, you will be shown the correct answer.
  6. Get a New Problem: Click the Next button (or press Enter again) for a new problem.
Your score is tracked at the top, showing how many you’ve gotten right out of the total you’ve tried.
  7. Restart Game Click “Finish” to restart the game.

The Triangle Sum Theorem
The theorem states that the sum of the measures of the interior angles of any triangle is always 180°.
This rule holds true for every single triangle, regardless of its size or shape (whether it’s acute, obtuse, right, equilateral, isosceles, or scalene).

The Formula
If a triangle has three interior angles with measures A, B, and C, the theorem can be expressed as: A + B + C = 180°
Why is this useful?
This theorem allows you to find a missing angle measure if you know the other two angles:
If you know two angles (e.g., A and B), you can calculate the third angle (C):
C = 180° - (A + B)

The video gives a clear, step-by-step approach to learn and use the Triangle Sum Theorem.
