Number Hunter Game Number Hunter is an interactive educational game designed to build number recognition and quantity association in early learners. It transforms the abstract concept of digits into a multisensory experience by combining auditory cues and visual symbols.

How to Play the Number Hunter Game
The game will show a set of objects. Your task is to count them.
Here’s how to play:

1. When ready to play, click on “Start Hunting”.
   
2. Listen to the number, then find the card that matches.
   
3. If you choose the correct card, it will become green. If you choose the wrong card, it will become red and the correct card will become green.
   Your score is tracked at the top, showing how many you’ve gotten right out of the total you’ve tried.
   
4. Click “Exit to Menu” to restart the game.
    
   

The game is structured into two primary cognitive layers:

1. Auditory Recognition (Listen) The game begins with an auditory trigger. A voice clearly identifies a “target number” (e.g., “seven”). This forces the learner to retrieve the mental image of the digit based only on its name, strengthening the link between the spoken word and the mathematical symbol.

2. Visual Discrimination (Hunt) The player is presented with a grid of cards containing different digits. This stage requires visual discrimination—the ability to distinguish between similar shapes. Confusion Pairs: The game helps learners tell the difference between digits that are often mirrored or rotated, such as 6 and 9, or 1 and 7. Active Search: By “hunting” through a randomized grid, the learner builds fluency and speed in identifying digits.
    
   

Key Game Features Immediate Feedback: Correct answers trigger high-pitched “success” chords and green highlights, while incorrect answers use lower tones and red highlights. Corrective Guidance: If a player chooses the wrong number, the game uses a Bouncing Animation to point out the correct target, ensuring the player learns from the mistake before moving on. Success Ratio: The score is displayed as $Correct/Attempted$, focusing on accuracy and persistence rather than just a high score.
