Even Odd Explorer Worksheet/Game
Welcome to Even Odd Explorer Worksheet/Game. Odd or Even Explorer is a visual math game that helps you understand how numbers are built. The goal is to determine if a group of stars can be divided into equal pairs or if one star will be left “odd man out.” Scroll down the page for a more detailed explanation.

How to Play

  1. Start the Game
Click LET’S PLAY! to begin. You will see a group of yellow stars appear in the center of the screen.

  2. The Counting Phase
Count the stars one by one. While counting, try to “pair them up” in your mind.
Even Numbers: Can be split into two equal groups or pairs.
Odd Numbers: Always have one extra shape that doesn’t have a partner.

  3. Make Your Decision
Look at the two large buttons at the bottom:
EVEN (Green): Click this if every star has a partner. (Numbers like 2, 4, 6, 8, 10).
ODD (Red): Click this if there is a “lonely” star left over. (Numbers like 1, 3, 5, 7, 9).

  4. Check Your Score
If you are right: The game will glow green.
If you are wrong: The game will show you the correct answer so you can see why that number is odd or even.

  5. Continue
Click the CONTINUE ➔ button to get a new set of shapes and try to beat your high score.

The “Partner” Trick
A great way to win this game is to look at the stars as if they are friends standing in line. If everyone has a “best friend” to hold hands with, the number is EVEN. If someone is standing by themselves at the end of the line, the number is ODD.
