Today’s word is “xenophile”. This is a noun which means a person who is attracted to foreign cultures, objects and peoples. For example, you can say, “Gerry loves to travel abroad, loves foreign films, and only dates girls from other countries. Many people would say he is a xenophile.”

Today’s word is “xenophobic”. This is an adjective which means being fearful of, or showing distrust or hatred towards foreigners and strangers. For example, you can say, “My grandfather is so xenophobic that he doesn’t trust any foreigners.”

Today’s word is “yearn”. This is a verb which means to have a strong desire. For example, you can say, “Joanne yearned for an embrace of her mother whom she hasn’t seen for over 10 years.”
