Surface Area of Cylinder Game
The Total Surface Area (SA) of a cylinder involves calculating the area of three parts: the two circular bases and the rectangular side (called the lateral area).
SA = 2π r2 + 2 πrh

How to Play the Surface Area of Cylinder Game
In the game, you need to find the surface area of a cylinder, find lateral area, or find a missing side when given the surface area.
Here’s how to play:
The Surface Area Formula
A cylinder has two main measurements: the radius (r) and the height (h).
The total surface area (SA) is calculated as:
SA = Area of Two Bases + Area of Lateral Side
Let’s break down the components:
1. Area of the Two Bases (2B)
The bases are circles, and the area of one circle is πr<sup<2.
Area of Two Bases} = 2πr<sup<2.
2. Area of the Lateral Side (LA)
If you unroll the curved side of the cylinder, it forms a rectangle.
The rectangle’s width is the cylinder’s height (h).
The rectangle’s length is the distance around the circle, which is the circumference (C = 2πr).
Lateral Area = Circumference × Height
Lateral Area = 2πrh
The Complete Formula
Adding the two components together gives the total surface area:
SA = 2πr<sup<2 + 2πrh
Where:
SA is the Total Surface Area.
r is the radius of the base.
h is the height of the cylinder.
The video gives a clear, step-by-step approach to find the surface area of a cylinder.
