How to Play the “Hundreds, Tens, Ones” Game
The game will show a number with a highlighted digit. Your task is to decide whether the highlighted digit represents Hundreds, Tens, or Ones.
Here’s how to play:
Hundreds, Tens and Ones
1. The Ones Place
Location: This is the digit on the far right.
Value: It tells you how many single units you have. The value of the digit is simply the digit itself (e.g., a 4 in the ones place means 4).
Example: In the number 375, the 5 is in the Ones place. Its value is 5.
2. The Tens Place
Location: This is the digit in the middle position.
Value: It tells you how many groups of ten you have. The value of the digit is the digit multiplied by 10.
Example: In the number 375, the 7 is in the Tens place. Its value is 7×10=70.
3. The Hundreds Place
Location: This is the digit on the far left.
Value: It tells you how many groups of one hundred you have. The value of the digit is the digit multiplied by 100.
Example: In the number 375, the 3 is in the Hundreds place. Its value is 3×100=300.
