Distance Formula Worksheet

Objective: I can use the distance formula to get the distance between two points.

The distance between the two points (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) is given by the distance formula.


Read the lesson on distance formula for more information and examples.

Calculate the distance between the following pairs of points.
Give your answer to the nearest tenths when necessary.

(1, 1) and (7, 9)

(2, 3) and (9, 7)

(3,6) and (-5, 9)

(-1, 4) and (8, -3)

(-10, 2) and (-4, -7)

(-8, 2) and (6, 2)

(-8, 10) and (-8, -17)
