The Cheat Sheet
Remember these three relationships:

Conversion The Number Example
Feet ⇆ Inches 12 1 ft = 12 in
Yards ⇆ Feet 3 1 yd = 3 ft
Yards ⇆ Inches 36 1 yd = 36 in

Using Fractions
If the answer is 9 inches and you need to convert to feet, you can think of it as a fraction of a foot:
\(\frac{9}{12} = \frac{3}{4} ft\)
Decimal entry: 0.75
Fraction entry: 3/4
Unsimplified entry: 9/12 (The game will accept this and asks you to simplify)

Strategy
If you see Yards to Inches, do it in two steps:
Multiply the Yards by 3 to get Feet.
Multiply those Feet by 12 to get Inches.
(Or just multiply by 36 if you want.)
