Objective:

  • I know how to solve area of rectangle word problems.

    How to find the area of a rectangle?
    The area of a rectangle can be calculated by multiplying its length by its width. The formula for the area of a rectangle is:
    Area = length x width
    For example, if a rectangle has a length of 5 units and a width of 3 units, then its area can be calculated as:
    A = 5 x 3 = 15 square units
    So, the area of the rectangle is 15 square units.

    How to find an unknown side?
    You can use division to find the unknown side length of a rectangle when given the area and a side.
    For example, if a rectangle has a width of 3 units and an area of 15 square units, then the length of its unknown side is:
    15 ÷ 3 = 5 units
    So, the length of the rectangle is 5 units.
