When adding or subtracting fractions with unlike denominators

Step 1: Find the lowest common denominator
Step 2: Find the equivalent fraction(s).
Step 3: Add or subtract the fractions
Step 4: Simplify the answers

(Think of the lowest common denominator as the smallest multiple that they have in common.)
