TOEFL iBT Independent Speaking - Task 1
This video lesson reviews Task 1 of the TOEFL speaking section. In this task you are asked to talk about a person, place, object or event that is familiar to you. The response should be based on personal experience. In this task the student should describe something and give reasons to explain why the event was important, why the activity was favorite, how a person influenced him/her. All parts of the question should be covered in the response.



TOEFL iBT Independent Speaking - Task 2 This video lesson reviews Task 2 of the TOEFL speaking section. In this second independent task you will be presented with two possible opinions, actions or situations. Then, you will be asked choose one of the opinions, actions or situations. Once you have chosen one of the options, you need to provide clear reasons and details in support of your choice. In that task it is important that you begin by clearly stating your choice or opinion.

TOEFL SPEAKING question 1 (9 samples)
This video is proposing 9 practice tasks for the FIRST question in the speaking section of the TOEFL IBT. You will also find sample responses for each of the tasks. These samples can teach you the format of a good response but don't let yourself be discouraged by the quality of their language and content. You will only have 15 seconds to prepare. So the judges don't expect this kind of quality but they do expect a similar the level of organization.
