How to answer questions on stationary points?

This question is on stationary points using differentiation.
Figure 2 shows a sketch of part of the curve with equation y = 10 + 8x + x2 - x3.
The curve has a maximum turning point A.
(a) Using calculus, show that the x-coordinate of A is 2.
A diesel lorry is driven from Birmingham to Bury at a steady speed of v kilometers per hour. The total cost of the journey, C, is given by
C = 1400/v + 2v/7,
(a) Find the value of v for which C is the minimum.
(b) Find d2C/dv2 and hence verify that C is a minimum for this vale of v.
(c) Calculate the minimum total cost of the journey.
