What are Consonant Blends?
A consonant blend is when two or three consonant letters stand next to each other, and you can still hear each of their sounds, but they’re pushed together very quickly and smoothly.
It’s like they’re “best friends” who make their own sounds, but together they sound super fast!
The following table gives a list of words containing consonant blends, categorized by type. Practice saying these words and identify the blended sounds within them.
